During the most recent Family Solutions Program Group Leader Certification training on Shivers Rd. for SCDJJ staff who plan to implement FSP, recognition was given to Dr. Kevin Irmiter of the SC DJJ by Dr. William Quinn for a decade of dedication and service to South Carolina children and families who have participated in the Family Solutions Program. Dr. Irmiter has coordinated the implementation of this program in SC to over 1,500 families and 4,000 family members who have received the benefits of FSP. Evaluation studies continue to demonstrate its superiority in reducing juvenile re-offenses, strengthening family relationships, and fostering good will among families and between families and FSP leaders/SCDJJ staff.
