The Family Solutions and Families and Schools Connected programs depend on great leaders who have passion and enthusiasm for working with youth and families and enjoy the challenges and rewards of facilitating groups.
We are an effective solution for schools, churches, community centers, youth-serving organizations, and Department of Juvenile Justice facilities. We are also a cost-effective alternative to family and individual therapy. Assuming ten families, with three people in each family, our twenty hours of group counseling breaks down to $84 per person. That breaks down to just $4 per person per hour of counseling. Furthermore, by involving non-offending siblings, our Family Solutions model is preventive, serving as an additional protective factor for youth who may also be at-risk.
Introducing our programs in your area is easy.
If you are located within an hour of the Athens-Clark county in Georgia, our trained leaders can implement the Family Solutions or Schools Connected program for you.
For those interested outside of the Athens area, we offer training and ongoing support to assist the development, implementation, and coordination of our programs in your community. We start with two days of on-site training at the location of your choice. Following that, we foster ongoing collaboration with Families4Change through a password-protected portal, unlimited consultation time, marketing materials, manuals, and booster trainings.
“We have 8 members (including 3 leaders!), so we have progressed that far! One of our Moms announced to our group that she was now a proud grandmother and posted pictures! LOVE LOVE LOVE the Family Solutions Program!”
“Since we do this within our community, I have two great benefits. First, I get to watch remarkable transformations in the relationships between parents and teens in the program. And, since we are into our 6th year of doing this program, I run into former students and parents around the city who still remember the program and are grateful for what they were able to take away from it. I even ran into a less successful young man who had been arrested as an adult. He apologized for being there and told me that he has not forgotten what he learned and he knows that he needs to apply it to his life in order to turn things around. This program has been a great success.”
