There have been some updates to the Family Solutions Program, and we hope as leaders, you will take advantage of these new additions. These resources can be helpful and effective if implemented into each new cycle.

We have created a one page summary form to be added in to the Family Notebook. This sheet will have a space for each session where participants will fill in their biggest take-away at the end of each session. This is a resource that participants can easily refer back to, to be reminded of and encouraged about what they learned from FSP. The take-away sheet will also assist the youth when they complete their homework for Session 10-Graduation. This take-away summary sheet can be found under Session 1-Introduction in the Leader Portal.

The Athens-Clarke County FSP leaders saw a need to provide additional assistance and resources to the families upon completion of their most recent FSP cycle. The leaders thought it was important to continue supporting the families from their group even after the program ended. You can find the Athens-Clarke County resource pamphlet under Session 10- Graduation in the Leader Portal as an example. We encourage leaders to create their own resource pamphlets or sheets with resources local to their area in order to continue supporting the families in their FSP groups.

You may have noticed that there has not been any homework to go along with the Optional Topics Session. Our FSP meetings each week should spark conversations and be a catalyst to what continues to go on within the family the rest of the week. We now have a homework assignment that encourages family members to give compliments to one another which should be assigned to families after doing the Optional Topic Session. Our hope is that families can continue to strengthen their relationships and work on positive communication skills at home. You can find this homework assignment under Session 8- Optional Topics in the Leader Portal.

We encourage all of our FSP leaders to progress with us and begin including these new assignments, tools, and resources into their upcoming Family Solutions Programs!
