Community Missions of Niagara Falls, Inc. recently completed its 6th year of offering the Family Solutions Program of 10 weekly 2-hour sessions to youth in juvenile justice and social service programs and their families. Conducting statistical analysis of pre-FSP and post-FSP for youth and parent surveys produced statistically significant changes. Parents reported lower parent stress which may indicate a lower probability of child abuse or neglect following FSP. Both youth and parents report a meaningful improvement in the quality of parent-child communication.

Parents reported a meaningful improvement in family functioning. Youth reported meaningful increases in their view of the quality of their lives at home and at school, in friendships, and with themselves. Finally, these results were consistent across race, gender, and age. Congratulations to Kim Olive, Taylor Lovric, and Marilee Clark at Community Missions for their success. On behalf of Families4Change, Inc. your commitment to delivering meaningful FSP sessions to families is greatly appreciated.
